Sheltered Homes for the Aged cater primarily to the accommodation needs of the destitute aged and low-income elderly persons who are unable to live with their family because of breakdown in relationships. In addition to residential facilities, the Homes provide some support services to assist and enable senior citizens to maintain their independence within the community.
Day Care Centres for Senior Citizens are community-based, daytime programmes that offer support to frail elderly while their family members are at work. The Centre provides relief to caregivers who need a break. The supervised programmes conducted include maintenance exercise, social and recreational activities. Transport can be arranged for the elderly to commute easily to and from the centre.
Home Help Service provides a range of services for the frail elderly at home. Some of these services include:

Community Case Management Service (CCMS) helps elderly with multiple needs to obtain the appropriate support in the community through an integrated and holistic care system. CCMS is recommended to elderly:
- with multiple needs (frail, medical, social & psycho-social needs, etc)
- 60 years or older
- assessed to have weak community support
- in need of continued intensive assistance
A fee will be charged for this service, though those with financial difficulties will pay subsidised rates.
